with 1% Encapsulated Retinol
Retinol Reboot Exfoliating Body Treatment
A high performance body treatment that's proven to firm skin in just two weeks. Featuring the age-defying ingredients you find in your facial skincare, specifically formulated to treat your neck, décolletage, arms and beyond. 1% Encapsulated Retinol, 8% Glycolic Acid, 2% Lactic Acid plus CoQ10 to firm, smooth, reduce redness and brighten body skin.
There are other 5% Glycolic Acid products on the market, but Liquid Gold’s difference is its low-pH formula of 2.8-3.0.
AHA exfoliating acids like Glycolic Acid are acidic (low pH) in nature. This is what gives them their exfoliating power. The lower the pH, the more ‘bioavailable’ the exfoliating acid is.
Liquid Gold’s low-pH delivery system is why you feel a tingle on application – it’s working harder! Most products on the market sit at a higher pH, which buffers their efficacy.
For best results, start slowly and build up to using Liquid Gold 3 times a week on alternate evenings.
After cleansing, saturate a cotton pad and sweep over face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eyes and delicate areas. Alternatively, dispense product into palms and press directly over the skin.
Leave Liquid Gold to work on its own - layering with other products will buffer the efficacy of the treatment. Follow with a face oil once skin is touch dry if preferred.
We’ve worked hard to ensure our new Liquid Gold packaging looks beautiful on your shelf, while being kind to the planet. The bottle is made from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) material*, helping to divert existing plastic packaging from landfill. The bottle, lid and carton are all fully recyclable.
To give your products the best chance of making it through the recycling system, please follow the below recycling directions:
1. Upon unboxing, flatten the cardboard packaging to place in the recycling bin.
2. Once the product is empty, screw lid onto bottle (small components can fall through the recycling process) and place bottle in recycling bin.
*Despite our best efforts, we were not able to produce the product lid from PCR plastic. The lid is still fully recyclable.
From an 8 Week Independent Clinical Trial
The pH level of products containing AHAs, like Glycolic Acid, is important because it determines their exfoliation capacity.
The lower the pH = the more bioavailable and effective the Glycolic Acid. The higher the pH = the more buffered and less effective the Glycolic acid.
Liquid Gold is formulated at a low pH of 2.8 - 3.0 for optimum exfoliation power. It's the closest you can get to a clinical skin treatment, at home.

Pro Tips
New to Liquid Gold? Start slowly, gradually building up to 3 night per week on alternate evenings as your skin gets use to the active ingredients.
Liquid Gold is a 1-step routine. We recommend you don’t apply a moisturiser or other treatments after Liquid Gold as they may reduce its efficacy. The formula contains Glycerin and Silk Proteins to help skin retain hydration and minimize trans-epidermal water loss.

For best results we advise applying Liquid Gold to freshly cleansed skin three alternate evenings a week and leaving to work on the skin unadulterated overnight, to avoid reducing the products potent exfoliating capacity by following with other products.

Liquid Gold may be cycled into your routine in conjunction with other exfoliating acids. Frequency of use and the types of additional exfoliants will depend on individual skin type and tolerance. Yes! Depending on many factors including skin type and how accustomed your skin is to active ingredients, some skins may feel a tingle upon application. This is normal and should subside after a few moments. It is also normal for some skins not to feel anything at all, this does not mean the product isn't working, each skin is individual.

If you are new to chemical exfoliants or your skin is a little on the sensitive side we would suggest starting slowly with Liquid Gold. Dampening your cotton pad before application can also help to dilute the exfoliating process slightly until your skin becomes accustomed to the product.
Alternatively, we would recommend starting with an exfoliator specifically formulated with sensitive skin in mind such as Generation Glow.

Liquid Gold is pregnancy and breastfeeding safe.

If you are using an over the counter cosmetic grade Retinol you can continue to use this when you introduce Liquid Gold. As both Glycolic Acid and Retinol encourage skin turnover we recommend cycling these active ingredients with less active, non exfoliating products in your routine. One evening Liquid Gold followed by an application of Retinol (Vitamin A) the next then 1-2 evenings off where you apply a non active moisturiser or face oil works perfectly.
Please note: if you are using a doctor prescribed prescription Retinoid however, we do not recommend teaming this with other exfoliants including Liquid Gold.
